"... he had found himself a respectable, even refulgent dress uniform." (February 9, 1814)

The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum in Winchester tells the fascinating story behind this portrait of a junior officer in the Rifle’s dress uniform of 1818 – I’m hoping there weren’t any great changes between 1814 and 1818!
